You must install JMP pro on your computer before attempting this assignment. You must use the data file: Pizza.JMP. Read the case very carefully and answer the questions mentioned below (also available at the end of the case).

  1. Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the average time to deliver a pizza, once the order placed, is greater than 25 minutes? Perform an appropriate statistical test to support your conclusion (infer for the population) and attach all necessary output from JMP analysis to support your answer. [5 points]

  2. How does the day of the week affect delivery time, if at all? Perform an appropriate statistical test to support your conclusions. Attach all necessary output from JMP to support your answer. [5 points]

  3. How does the time of day affect delivery time, if at all? Perform an appropriate statistical test to support your conclusions. Attach necessary JMP output to support your answer. [5 points]

  4. Discuss Tony Scapelli’s data collection method. Comment on any potential problems resulting from the way in which the data were collected. Would you recommend that he collect additional data in order to better evaluate the pizza delivery service? Why or why not? [5 points]

Case Questions

  1. Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the average time to deliver a pizza, once the order placed, is greater than 25 minutes? Perform an appropriate statistical test to support your conclusion (infer for the population) and attach all necessary output from JMP analysis to support your answer. [5 points]

After removing outliers and performing the distribution analysis the results below are observed.

Based on these results, we cannot reject the hypothesis that the average delivery time is greater than 25. The Prob>|t|=0.0768 and the Prob >t=0.9616 on the right indicates that we cannot reject. Thus average is greater than 25 minutes.
