Step 1. Plot the equality first (i.e., an equation without < or > sign).

            Example: 11 + 2.1, > 4+ 11 + 21, = 4

            
Step 2. Choose a trial point so that a correct area (region) can be identified. The
            most popular trial point is (0, 0).

Step 3. Using the trial point, evaluate the left-hand side (LHS) expression and

            determine if the trial point satisfies the inequality. If the trial point
             satisfies the inequality, then the area which includes the trial point is the
             right (correct) area.

11 + 2.1, > 4+ 11 + 21, = 4
