I was in the Karyotype group X. We noted
that there were 23 pairs of chromosomes that were not of the same size. The
person whose sample was examined was a female because their sex chromosomes was
XO. However, we expected their sex chromosomes to be XX meaning that they had a
disorder. XO is known as Turner’s syndrome which is characterized by the
absence of one X chromosome.
