Information contained in lab 7 pertaining genetics is applicable in both scientific and common home settings in many ways. For example, I just mentioned that scientists in the agricultural and medical sector for many reasons such as investigation of hereditary diseases and crop advancement. However, it can also be applied in a common home in various ways such as the ones that are highlighted below.

While cooking, we normally have an idea of the appearance of the food we want to cook. For example, the general appearance of food makes it attracting and some of us uses food color to make it look as we wish. At times, food color is not healthy and a better option would be using foodstuffs with physical appearance that we desire. Dominant alleles determines the physical appearance of an organism. In the same case, I would make the alleles (foodstuffs) with the physical appearance of the meals that I wish to make.
