1.   Taxonomy is a branch of biology where organisms are grouped mostly based on their physical characteristics. It is meant to help scientists group organisms in order to identify each species and determine how different they are from the others. However, information gained from this activity can be used in various fields especially as a non-scientist. Some of such applications have been discussed below.
