From the chromatography lab, which pigments were soluble in the acetone? Explain your answer. (5 points)

Carotene, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and xanthophyll were soluble in acetone. If the distance covered by a pigment is zero, that pigment is insoluble in that solvent. In this case, all the pigments mentioned above moved thus were soluble in the solvent (acetone).
