2.2 (3 marks) Departure from Rutherford scattering: A departure from the Rutherford scattering formula was found at a kinetic energy of the a particle of E = 27.5MeV at a scattering angle of @= 60 (see slides), the target was 228 Pb. Let us assume that this departure originates from the finite size of the nucleus, i.e. we assume that this departure happens because the a particle hits the surface of the nucleus where the nucleus should be approximated as a sphere with radius R but still point-like charge and the a particle is still point-like. Calculate the radius R of the nucleus based on these assumptions.
